Mary S. McManus
Work History and Education
Mary has been with Stevenson Doell since 1998 after she moved from Winnipeg where she practiced from 1977 until 1997. She was called to the bar of Manitoba in 1977 and the bar of British Columbia in 1998. She received her Bachelor of Arts and law degree from Dalhousie University.

Mary has worked in family law for more than 35 years and has a deep understanding of the emotions involved and the tough decisions that must be made when a relationship is ending. She is committed to using her experience to guide, support and find results that allow her clients to move forward positively. Mary has more than 20 years of trial experience in Manitoba and more than 15 years of trial experience in British Columbia.
Mary is particularly experienced in handling cases involving children and has specialized training in collaborative family law, a process whereby parties and their lawyers work together to create solutions that work for both parties without ever needing to attend court.
